Calera Middle and Calera High

Calera High School is a public school, which houses students in grades six through twelve. In the present school year, 2005-2006, there are 684 students enrolled. There is a trend of growth in the school community. To accommodate the increasing number of students, the Board of Education approved the building of a new Calera High School. This school should be ready for opening in the fall of 2007. Their 3 administrators and 46 teachers strive to provide a learning environment in which students can acquire the skills to become productive and responsible citizens who enjoy successful careers. A positive learning experience is provided through quality teaching, a safe environment, and a curriculum that meets the diverse individual needs of all students. They are also committed to maintaining accountability for demonstrated results and positive improvements.
