Calera Elementary

Calera Elementary School is a public school for grades K-5 through five. In 2005, Calera Elementary renewed its SACS accreditation. In 2006, Calera Elementary School became one of the first Alabama Math, Science and Technology Initiative (AMSTI) schools in Shelby County. Their two administrators and 43 teachers believe that all children need a safe, clean, comfortable, positive, and nurturing learning environment and that children learn best in an environment that implements a developmentally and culturally appropriate program. They offer a comprehensive educational program, which includes basic competencies, fine arts, physical education and technology. Family support and involvement is encouraged for optimal learning.
